What is the credit system?
Tempsmarket uses a simple credit system to regulate the number of jobs businesses can fill in any one month. Depending on your business size, we have 3 paid for monthly plans along with a quick top-up system. See the rate-cards below to choose the appropriate plan for your business. If you just want to try Tempsmarket out, then there’s also a free plan that will help you get started.

The credit process

A credit is deducted from a business’s balance for every person who accepts an interview or job through Tempsmarket. This means that with Tempsmarket, you only pay for real results.

A business must have at least the same number of credits as people who they are offering an interview/job to. For example, if a business wants to offer 5 people to interview, then it must have at least 5 credits in its balance at the time of offering.

This ensures that businesses do not offer hundreds of people interviews with a very low prospect of getting a job at the end of it, and maintains quality of job offer for people looking for work.

All unused paid-for credits (ie not those provided as part of the free subscription) at the end of the month are rolled forward to the next month.

Credit Refunds

If a business chooses to employ a person through Parasol (ie, not become their direct employer) then they will have that credit refunded to their balance.
How do I pay for credits?
Tempsmarket uses Paypal to accept credit card payments for monthly subscription payments and credit top-ups. If you would prefer to set up a direct debit or pay for 12 month subscription in advance through purchase order, please contact our sales department billing@tempsmarket.com.

Are there signup fees? Termination fees? Any hidden fees we should know about?
Tempsmarket believes in simple billing system for its services. All monthly plans can be cancelled at any time, with no exit fees.
I have hired someone through Tempsmarket and want to take them on full time. Is there any charge for this?
Absolutely not. Tempsmarket does not charge any ‘temp-to-perm’ fees if you want to offer someone a full-time job following a temp contract. We want to encourage a new way of working with temporary labour as a viable means of full-time recruitment.
How do I find the right people for the job?
We recommend that a business first completes a job description, adding in any desirable skills, experience and education for the role. Based on this job description, Tempsmarket will return the most relevant candidates for the role, which can be viewed in detail and offered a position or interview.

A business can start searching straightaway, and populate any search criteria into a job description to offer to temps.
How do I offer people a job?
By default, all people registered on Tempsmarket are available for assignments that start no sooner than 48 hours of job acceptance. If your business requires a person to start immediately or even same-day, they can be found by changing the availability search filter to 'available immediately'.

Only people who have logged into Tempsmarket in the last 48 hours and set their status to 'available immediately' will be returned in the search results, ensuring that they are actively seeking work.
How quickly can I hire a person?
When you have identified which people you would like to offer, select either to request an interview or go straight to job offer. Ensure you have enough credits to perform this action, and Tempsmarket will send an email and SMS to the selected candidates. Each will reply with their decision and arrange interview time if necessary.
What happens if someone doesn’t turn up for work?
If in the unlikely event a person on Tempsmarket doesn’t show up for work after accepting a job offer, and hasn’t contact your business to explain why, Tempsmarket recommends that you do the following:

  1. Make attempt to contact your temp, as there is most likely a genuine reason for not arriving
  2. If the temp remains uncontactable and you feel that it is unlikely to be resolved , close down the job on Tempsmarket and leave appropriate feedback for the temp.
  3. Re-visit your selected shortlist for this job and re-offer to other candidates
  4. If the position to be filled is urgent, only select candidates who are 'available immediately' to ensure a quick response and potential start-date within 48 hours.
  5. Temspmarket will refund the credit used to hire the person, once the job has been closed
How do I approve timesheets?
Temps will fill in their timesheets online at the end of every week, which will automatically generate an invoice to your business from Parasol for the time worked.

If there is a dispute over the number of hours worked, we recommend you discuss this with the temp worker at the earliest opportunity to resolve the matter. In addition, contact Parasol for any other queries over the billed amount.
Do you provide phone support?
We provide unlimited support via email for our paying customers, but we do not provide support over the phone. We do our best to respond to every email within just a few hours of receiving it. We also make sure one of the company owners or a knowledgeable Tempsmarket employee answers the email. We do not outsource our support overseas or employ unqualified support staff.
